Singapore Experience – Part 2
In this podcast series, I talk to a range of friends about experiences, practices and cases in the law. I share advocacy techniques and stories. I talk about the areas of law in which the cases have been decided and about where my cases fit in. It is intended to be informative but fun. This episode looks at Singapore.
In the previous episode, I reflected on my practice and my work in Singapore. I chatted with Thio Shen Yi SC, one of Singapore’s leading advocates about Singapore’s past, present and future in International Dispute Resolution.
This podcast continues the conversation in which we look at the role of international arbitration in the region and what the future holds. We also discuss the various seats and venues for arbitration and linguistic changes taking place. Hand in hand with that, we look at cultural differences and challenges facing international arbitration.
Shen Yi is a partner at TSMP Law Corporation and a former President of the Singapore Law Society. With a worldwide reputation and a distinguished practitioner, Shen Yi acts primarily as counsel and occasionally as arbitrator.
